Journal that Enoch Poor kept during his military service, including his accounts of three expeditions upstream in July and September 1759, the negotitations with the Acadians who had surrendered at the fort following the fall of Quebec, and soldiers' discontent over their pay.

Enoch Poor, a native of Newbury, served under Captain Henry Titcomb at Fort Frederick, an old French fort that Robert Moncton had established as his base of operations on St. John River (present day Fort Howe in New Brunswick).
